The school season may be quickly approaching, but I’m still holding on to this summer for as long as I can! One of my favorite growing trends this summer is off the shoulder seersucker dresses. Seersucker is such a classic and timeless print, and I’ve been seeing lots of pale blue pinstripe prints popping up everywhere!

5 Reasons why Moe’s Southwest Grill is my Family’s Jam!

July 27, 2017 by Laura Tucker Leave a Comment

This post is sponsored by Everywhere Agency on behalf of Moe’s Southwest Grill; however, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

They say a first impression is everything, and that’s especially true when you visit a restaurant for the first time. I don’t remember a whole lot about my first visit to many restaurants, but I vividly remember my first time ever eating at Moe’s Southwest Grill. I was a young teenager, and older brother took my family out to eat there when we were visiting him at college. At that time, Moe’s was not local to us, so it was a treat to get to eat somewhere new.

When we walked in, we were immediately greeted with an enthusiastic chant of “Welcome to Moe’s” from the staff, and the atmosphere in the entire room was lively and modern. There was a pretty good crowd dining in, and judging by the looks on the patron’s faces, I knew I was going to be in for something really good.

Purchasing Prescription Eyeglasses Online is Easy with GlassesShop!

July 17, 2017 by Laura Tucker Leave a Comment

I received complimentary product from GlassesShop in exchange for my honest review. All opinions expressed are completely my own.

I was in the fourth grade when I first noticed my vision decreasing. I remember struggling to see the numbers and letters that my teacher would write on the board, so my mother took me to have my eyes examined and fit for glasses. I remember the first time I ever put them on. I felt unsure as to if my friends at school would be accepting of my new specs, and I was so nervous that they would make fun of me for having to wear them. I just knew my tender heart would melt into a puddle on the floor if anyone ever called me four-eyes or told me I was a nerd for wearing glasses.

Toddler Road Trip Entertainment: DIY Ocean Seek & Find Bottle

July 12, 2017 by Laura Tucker 6 Comments

Will you be hitting the open road this summer to travel to a family-favorite destination? Most American families plan at least 1 trip or vacation during the summer months, and what better time to travel than during the season that brings us those gorgeous sunny days where we can roll the windows down in the car and feel the cool breeze as we hit the highway!

While my family is in a season of life where traveling long distances is kept to a minimum (because toddlers can be super tricky to travel with), we do occasionally like to load up the car and head down to the gulf coast for the day a few times during the summer. It’s a fairly short driving distance from our home, so it’s an ideal spot to go to when we’re craving a little R&R and vitamin sea. The beach is the #1 travel destination spot in the state of Alabama, and once school is out for the summer across the nation, all of the highways and byways that lead to the beach in this state are flooded with road trippers who are looking to splash in the waves and have a little fun by the shore.

Do you have a toddler in the back seat who hates riding in the car? Take along this easy DIY Ocean Seek and Find Bottle to help keep them entertained!#RoadTripOil #ad…

Easy Chicken Salad – Ready in 20 Minutes!

July 10, 2017 by Laura Tucker 1 Comment

I received a Power Pressure Cooker XL as compensation in exchange for my honest review. All opinions expressed here are 100% my own!

Does anyone else’s life seem to speed up during the weekend instead of slow down? Weekends are supposed to be a time to unwind from the busy work week, but my family is currently in a season of life where it seems like the only rest we get is when we close our eyes at night to get a little shuteye!

Because we’re still in the home building process, so much of my husband’s time is poured into working at the construction site. It seems like he works from sun up to sun down every chance he gets, and this past Saturday was no different. He’s a hard working man, that’s for sure!

If You Knew, What Would You Do? Ending Domestic and Financial Abuse with Allstate Foundation Purple Purse

July 5, 2017 by Laura Tucker Leave a Comment

This post was sponsored by The Allstate Foundation as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central and all opinions expressed in my post are my own.

I’ll never forget those words. I’ll never forget where I was, or the feelings I felt when I got the news. I woke up early one Saturday morning to drive down to my hometown to visit with my family. Not long after I left, I decided to give a quick call to my dear friend Allie* to see if she would be in the area later that afternoon. I had been carrying around a secret from her for about 10 weeks, and I was SO ready to break the news to her that I was going to become a mother. Growing up together, we always talked and daydreamed about the day that we would become mothers. We’d laugh and smile imagining what our children would be like, and how we’d be in big trouble if their personalities were anything like ours. I had been waiting for this moment for so long, and I just knew she was going to flip when I got to sit down and show her the ultrasound picture.

Only, the way that I had envisioned telling her that news never came to fruition. Instead, my words were stopped cold in their tracks when I called to speak to her that morning. Instead of hearing Allie’s sweet voice on the other end of the phone, I heard the tremble behind her mother’s voice as she told me that Allie was laying right beside her in a hospital bed – alive, but badly beaten.
