The Cutest Name Labels for Back to School from Stuck On You!

July 3, 2017 by Laura Tucker Leave a Comment

I received the items mentioned from Stuck On You in exchange for my honest review. All opinions expressed within this post are 100% my own.

There are just 4 weeks left of summer before all of the kids that live in my area start shopping for school supplies and zipping up their brand new backpacks to head off to their first day of school. Can you believe that?! I mean, didn’t summer just start? It truly feels like school begins earlier and earlier every year!

When I was still in school, I would count down the days to when school started back. I absolutely adored school. For me, summer was fun for about 2 weeks, and then I longed to be close to all of my friends again and in an organized setting with a structured routine. I’d nearly squeal with joy when the school board released the shopping lists for my school. I’d very meticulously pick out the perfect (and cutest) school supplies and rearrange the contents of my backpack multiple times in preparation for the 1st day back. I would see to it that all of my items had my name written on them, and then I’d do the same thing for all of my little brother’s school supplies, too!

Unicorn Party Supplies on Amazon

Ever since Starbucks launched their famous Unicorn Frappuccino blended crème beverage for a limited time back in April of this year, it seems like my Pinterest home page has been blowing up with people trying their hand at recreating the pretty pastel drink, or even taking the inspiration of the unicorn beverage and blending it into other popular food items. I’m not going to lie, I’m really feeling this trend! I love pretty girly things, and magical unicorns, pastel pinks and purples, and ALL the glittery and shimmery stuff makes me wish I could turn back time to when I was a 7 year old little girl with a Lisa Frank trapper keeper and sparkle gel pens. Those were the days!

Flamingo Party Supplies on Amazon

Earlier last week I posted about how I’ve noticed a growing trend in all things unicorn in my post “Unicorn Party Supplies on Amazon.” It seems like all things mystical, magical and florescent pink are all the rage at the moment, because it seems like everywhere I look, if I don’t spot a unicorn I see a flamingo!

This is a trend I can totally get down with, because I think flamingos are lovely creatures! They make me want to grab my sunglasses and flip flops and head somewhere tropical…even if it’s only in my daydreams! 😉

I’ve also seen some absolutely adorable flamingo parties going down on Pinterest, so I thought it might be helpful to many to put together a collective list of some pretty fabulous flamingo party decor to help you make your summertime soiree or birthday party fine and feathered!

Here’s a few of my favorites that I’ve found on Amazon – hooray for one stop shopping and free 2 day shipping!

These patriotic ice cream cone cups are a great way to add a little sweetness to your Fourth of July celebration!Patriotic Ice Cream Cone Cups

How does your family celebrate the 4th of July? Do you pull out the grill and throw a rack of ribs on? Do you crank the handle on that old-fashioned ice cream churn and indulge in a little summertime sweetness in the late afternoon? Just like most Americans, my family loves to celebrate our nation’s independence and freedoms with our favorite foods – and sweets are definitely included in the mix!…

How Do I Get My Picky Toddler to Actually Eat? + Other Common Toddler Nutrition Questions Answered

June 27, 2017 by Laura Tucker Leave a Comment

Parents – throw those hands up in the air (and wave ’em like ya just don’t care) if you currently deal with or have ever dealt with a picky toddler who loves to give you a run for your money when it comes to actually eating something with nutritional value during the day. I can’t tell you how many times I’m left baffled and shrugging my shoulders trying to crack the super secret code to get my toddler to actually eat the food that I prepare for her and NOT solely eat graham crackers and Goldfish. The struggle is real, y’all!

I was that mom when my baby was starting solids when she was 6 months old. You know, the one who makes all of the baby food from scratch, only uses organic fruits and veggies in the purees and swears that introducing a unique array of foods to the baby while they’re young will make them develop a taste for healthy foods for the rest of their life – including the toddler years.

Hilarious.

How to Freeze Zucchini

June 25, 2017 by Laura Tucker 5 Comments

This simple tutorial on how to freeze zucchini will help you enjoy zucchini all year long!

I mentioned earlier this month in my tutorial on how to freeze summer squash that we’ve been unable to plant a garden this year like we normally do because of our home building project. While I’m totally willing to sacrifice a garden in order to gain more time to dedicate building a brand new home, I can’t help but feel a little sad when I think about how I can’t walk out to my backyard and pick produce off of the stalk to cook for supper this year. That has always been such a fun and productive feeling!

Cheesy Chicken & Rice Burrito Dip

Now that summer is in full swing, my daughter and I have been a pair of busy bees attending all of the fun children’s events that have been taking place in the area. Just the other day I had to grab my calendar and schedule all of the activities taking place because it had gotten to where I couldn’t keep track of it anymore! On top of all of our weekly outings, I decided to enroll her in a baby gymnastics class that meets once a week. I feel so lucky to live in an area that has put such a big focus on children’s learning and physical activity. Living in a very rural part of the state, all of these free public events are a rare treat that are really making our summer extra special!

Looking for a quick and easy weeknight meal to take your "Taco Tuesday" to a whole new level? This Cheesy Chicken & Rice Burrito Dip is ready in 30 minutes, only requires one pan and will become a family favorite after the very first bite! #UncleBens #FlavorInfusions #ad…
