November 19, 2017 by Laura Tucker 1 Comment

This post was sponsored Tai Pei, all opinions expressed in my post are my own.

Can you believe we’re only just a few days away from Thanksgiving day?! The month of November seems like it’s traveling at the speed of light, and my to-do list has only gotten longer as the days go on. This Thanksgiving is a very special time for my family. As many of you know, my husband and I have been in the process of building a home for almost a full year now, and my family is coming over this Wednesday to stay for Thanksgiving! The finishing touches (paint, trim, etc.) are FINALLY done, and now we’re getting to move in!

Hosting friends and family for the holidays can be nothing short of overwhelming at times, but thankfully it doesn't always have to be! I'm sharing a few simple hacks to help you stress less, plus one of my favorite ways to have a little "me time" during the hustle and bustle of the season! #TaiPeiFrozenFood #IC #ad…

Southern Baked Cheese Grits

November 13, 2017 by Laura Tucker Leave a Comment

These Southern Baked Cheese Grits are the perfect way to start your morning on the right foot! They’re creamy, loaded with cheesy flavor and topped with bacon crumbles that will make you want to go back for seconds (or thirds!)

When I think of all of my favorite southern staple dishes, cheese grits is one of the first things that comes to my mind. I’ve eaten grits for as long as I can remember, and while you can find grits all over the country, there’s no questioning that the people of the south have an undeniable and unwavering love for the coarsely ground corn meal dish that surpasses all state boundaries.

Not only is it the perfect savory and hearty breakfast dish, but it’s also frequently used in southern seafood dishes as well! (Shrimp and grits, fish and grits, crawfish grits, etc.)

Four Reasons Why our Field to Table Philosophy Changed our Lives for the Better

November 1, 2017 by Laura Tucker 1 Comment

Deer season just recently opened up here in the great state of Alabama, and many of my friends and family members are heading out to their tree stands tucked away in the woods in hopes of bringing home a white-tailed deer for their families to eat. Growing up in the south, I’ve always been surrounded by folks who hunt wild game as a means of providing food for their families. I was not born into a family of hunters, but I was lucky enough to marry into a family of avid deer hunting enthusiasts, and adopting a field-to-table philosophy has proven to be incredibly beneficial to our household in so many ways!
