Healthy Patriotic Snacks for Kids

May 16, 2018 by Laura Tucker 2 Comments

Affiliate links may be included throughout this post at absolutely no cost to you. Healthy Patriotic Snacks for Kids are a fun and delicious way to celebrate our great country, and I love sharing my favorite finds with you!

With Memorial Day right around the corner and Independence Day quickly approaching, I’ve started my annual hunt for the cutest seasonal snacks and crafts on Pinterest  (where I always spend way more time that I ever intended) to pin to my Fourth of July pin board. My toddler is starting to take an interest in creating things, and I thought it’d be perfect to find a few of my favorite patriotic snacks for kids that encourage them to have a creative eye and create something that’s not only super yummy, but also really cute!

Simple Blackberry Bread Recipe

May 11, 2018 by Laura Tucker Leave a Comment

Mother’s Day is coming up this weekend, and to celebrate my family is taking a little day trip down to the gulf to have a little fun in the sun! Now that I’m in my 3rd trimester, it’s not quite as easy to get out and do things like it was just a few months ago. Since I’m in the home stretch of this pregnancy, I knew it was important for my family to get out and have fun together as much as possible before we grow from a family of 3 to a family of 4! Needless to say, I’ve been up on my feet these last few days making a list (and checking it twice) to make sure we don’t forget anything while packing – because a trip to Walmart during a vacation sounds absolutely dreadful to me!

Glazed Blackberry Doughnuts

May 4, 2018 by Laura Tucker Leave a Comment

Have you ever created something super delicious in the kitchen that was technically more of a happy accident than a direct reflection of your actual culinary skill? (I laughed out loud as I typed that, because that’s basically how I’d describe my cooking skills in college!) Earlier this week I was faced with a basket full of beautiful blackberries sitting in my refrigerator that needed to be used before they went bad, so I started brainstorming ways that I could utilize them that I had never tried before.

Glazed Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Doughnuts

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #DelightfulMoments #SplashOfDelight #CollectiveBias

Can we all just take a minute and throw our hands up in the air with excitement over the much awaited arrival of spring? I’m telling you, it felt like it was never going to get here! Even though we seem to be in a slight cold front in my neck of the woods this week, I’m not at all letting it get me down. Nope, not this mama! I’ve got too much going on to be excited about, and celebrating the sight of spring and all of the newness that comes along with it has me downright giddy! Plus, I recently entered my second trimester of pregnancy, so I’m finally starting to feel new again, too! You know, aside from a tiny human taking up residence inside my already petite body, I’d say I’m feeling pretty good!

These Glazed Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Doughnuts are a decadent treat that are easy to make, and they're perfect paired with your morning cup of coffee! #ad #DelightfulMoments #SplashOfDelight…

St. Patrick’s Day Jell-O Ice Cream Cups

If you’ve been making Jello according to the package instructions your whole life, I feel like I must let you in on this little secret to make it SO. MUCH. BETTER. I mean, regular Jello is cool and all. It has it’s place, but when you transform it with a few scoops of ice cream, it’s a total game changer!  This version is creamy and delicious, and tastes like an absolute dream! It can be made using any flavor of Jello you choose, but with St. Patrick’s Day quickly approaching, I thought it’d be fun to turn this into a fun little leprechaun treat for my daughter and I to share together!

Healthy Easter Snack Crafts for Kids

Now that all of my pink and read heart-shaped decorations have found their way back into the storage closet until February rolls around again next year, I’ve got all of my pretty pastels and Easter bunnies and chicks on deck, ready to make their debut pretty soon! While it’s no secret that my sweet tooth is the strongest bone in my body, I’m trying to be a bit more mindful during these sugar-coated holidays to present my little one with adorably cute options that aren’t loaded down with refined sugar and high-fructose corn syrup. I mean, you know ya girl is still going to indulge in a Cadbury Egg (or 4…they’re my absolute favorite seasonal candy) but everything in moderation, right?

White Chocolate Dipped Strawberry Madeleines

Affiliate links may be included throughout this post at absolutely no cost to you.

Valentine’s Day is one week away, and I can’t even believe it! Some days I feel like this year is going by pretty fast already, but then I remember that I’m pregnant and most days time feels like it’s actually going at a super slow crawl. The days go slow, but the years go by fast don’t they? 😉

As a family, we don’t typically do anything special on Valentine’s Day, but that definitely doesn’t mean I don’t eat my fair share of chocolate candies, cakes, and all sorts of sweets to celebrate the day!

Give your loved ones an extra bite of sweetness with these delicious White Chocolate Dipped Strawberry Madeleines - made with REAL strawberries! #ValentinesDay…

Growing up in the south, it was instilled in me at a very early age that there is more than one way to tell someone you love and care about them. In fact, it’s always seemed like the language of love has multiple dialects spoken within it, and hospitality is a common thread that holds our love and care for one other together.
