Dunkin’ Donuts Pretzel Croissant Breakfast Sandwich – A Breakfast Dream Come True!

You know what really gets me excited? Like – jump up and down, sing at the top of my lungs, and maybe throw in a cabbage patch dance kind of excited? Food. Always food. No doubt about it.

That should come as NO surprise to many of you who have been following this blog for a while. Food instantly takes me to my happy place. When it’s time to eat, I’ll be the first one to show up and show out to get some grub in my tummy. I never miss a meal, and I especially never miss breakfast. Just to keep it 100% with you all, breakfast is the most coveted and anticipated meal of my day! There’s just something about breakfast food that screams “comfort food” to me, and I love it all!

Do you ever feel like you’re going “through the weeds” of life? Maybe you’ve fallen into a monotonous routine that doesn’t give you that spark of happiness you’ve been craving, or perhaps life has been busy taking you in so many different directions that you’ve begun to feel completely unbalanced and are desperate for a little “me” time to relax and unwind. I’m right there with you, folks. I’ve definitely been feeling like I’m in the weeds here lately. Juggling working from home, building a brand new home, tending all day to an almost two year old who can throw a tantrum at the drop of a hat, and being involved in local community projects has left me feeling a little drained and starved for quality “me time.”

The Easter bunny has officially come and gone, and we’re hopping right along through this beautiful spring season! Easter weekend gave me some much needed time to rest, reflect and enjoy this life and everything in it. The past two weeks have been a little tough on me. Seeing horrible happenings in the news, dealing with a string of bad weather that rolled through and juggling multiple different projects has made me feel a little defeated at times, but being able to rest has helped me sort through those feelings and refocus on the most important things in life.

Summer 2017 is right around the corner, and churches all over the country are gearing up for an exciting summer filled with Vacation Bible School activities! One of the most popular VBS themes for 2016 was “Submerged” by Lifeway, where kids learned all about submerging themselves in God’s word and finding that Jesus doesn’t just see what’s on the outside of people, but instead He sees what’s deep down in the inside of people and loves us no matter what. Isn’t that such a great message? If you got to participate in Submerged this year, I’m sure it definitely made a “splash” of an impact on your life. I know it did mine!

My almost-two year old has recently taken a major interest in bunny rabbits. (And who could blame her – they’re the cutest!) We have a bunny rabbit that lives nearby our home, and usually in the late evening we’ll find him outside nibbling at the grass under the big tree in our yard. Every time my daughter sees it, her smile is bigger than the moon itself! All of this is perfect timing, too, because Easter will soon be here! The shelves at the stores are overflowing with the cutest spring decor, and every time my daughter spots a bunny rabbit she gets downright giddy!

Every year when spring rolls around, I always look forward to sprucing up my home with cheery decor and bright pastel colors. I recently decided to add some colorful new plates to my collection to create a fun spring tablescape for my family to enjoy during Easter dinner this year. As I brought my plates home and set them out on the table, I couldn’t help but feel like something was missing. Hip hip, hooray! Spring is finally here! Around this time of year I always start planning out my spring cleaning plan of attack. All of the dirt and grime buildup that’s accumulated in my life over the past few months can no longer stick around, and something has to be done about it! I’ll make a list of all of the things that I know need a good deep cleaning, and then I’ll make a secondary list of things that I’d like to get done…but they may or may not actually get done for the sheer fact that I have a toddler who can turn a room into a disaster zone in 3 seconds flat. Parents, I know you feel me on this one.

This year, one of the things on the tippy top of my cleaning list is to get our car CLEAN! In years past, cleaning out the car was one of the things that sort-of got put on the back burner, but now that we’ve got a toddler in tow, a good cleaning is much more necessary.

I’ve been hearing lots of buzz lately about Lipsense lipstick and cosmetics. I’ve seen the videos of people testing the product, showing them wiping their fingers across their lips to prove that the lipstick stays put and doesn’t come off. I’ve seen quite a few Facebook groups pop up inviting me to come see what Lipsense is all about, but I’m just going to be really honest with you:

I was skeptical. I think by nature I’m pretty skeptical of most things. We’ve all heard that saying that if something is too good to be true, it probably is. So when I first heard mention of this “Lipsense” stuff, for the longest time I just sort of turned my attention away from it. I convinced myself that I didn’t need a lipstick that won’t budge, and that ordering through a direct marketing company like this was just a tangled web that I didn’t want to get caught up in.
