My Kind of Green – Beautifying Home & Garden with HedgeScapes

May 10, 2018 by Laura Tucker Leave a Comment

I received product as compensation in exchange for my honest review. However, all opinions expressed are 100% my own. I only promote things that I truly love!

Since moving into our new home 6 months ago, we’ve been without any landscaping or greenery in our yard whatsoever. Truthfully, we were waiting until the last frost of the season to come and go before we decided to start laying sod, but the months that we went with just staring at a red clay yard were starting to make me feel a little gloomy. I’ve always felt that landscaping was a very important element to a home. In high school, I actually took a class called Landscape and Turf Management, where I learned all about different types of plants and grasses to use to change the aesthetic of a home. An appealing landscape adds value and curb appeal to a property, so it’s certainly an element of necessity that you don’t want to skimp on!

May 8, 2018 by Laura Tucker Leave a Comment

I received product as compensation for this post in exchange for my honest review. All opinions expressed within are 100% my own. I love Thirty-One products and know you will, too!

The month of May is always such a busy (but amazing) time of year. Mother’s Day rolls around, graduation ceremonies are taking place, school lets out for summer vacation, and for my personal family, we’re celebrating a birthday AND an anniversary all in the same month! Though our schedules can get a little hectic this month, it’s all gravy! I know that summer is well on it’s way, and that means we can finally pack up the car and head down to the surf and the sand for a little rest and relaxation before the newest member of the family gets here in early August!

Glazed Blackberry Doughnuts

May 4, 2018 by Laura Tucker Leave a Comment

Have you ever created something super delicious in the kitchen that was technically more of a happy accident than a direct reflection of your actual culinary skill? (I laughed out loud as I typed that, because that’s basically how I’d describe my cooking skills in college!) Earlier this week I was faced with a basket full of beautiful blackberries sitting in my refrigerator that needed to be used before they went bad, so I started brainstorming ways that I could utilize them that I had never tried before.

16 Must-Try Air Fryer Breakfast Recipes

April 30, 2018 by Laura Tucker 3 Comments

Affiliate links may be included throughout this post at absolutely no cost to you. All thoughts expressed are my own.

A few months ago I shared a simple recipe for guilt-free southern fried chicken, and since that time it has exploded in popularity more than I ever imagined! Air Fryers are wonderful kitchen inventions that allow you to cook your favorite foods without deep frying, and their uses span far beyond fried recipes! In fact, most air fryers come with accessories that allow you to bake, too! Cutting back on excess grease and practicing healthier cooking methods is something I’m all about, so I’ve been feeling really inspired to get my Air Fryer back out and really start cooking more with it!

As I am approaching my third trimester of my second pregnancy, I am trying to soak up and treasure all of these moments with my little girl before her sister enters this world, and earlier this week we embraced the simple joys of spreading out a blanket in the yard and digging into our new favorite treat – OREO Chocolate King Size Candy Bars from Walmart!

Can we all just take a minute and throw our hands up in the air with excitement over the much awaited arrival of spring? I’m telling you, it felt like it was never going to get here! Even though we seem to be in a slight cold front in my neck of the woods this week, I’m not at all letting it get me down. Nope, not this mama! I’ve got too much going on to be excited about, and celebrating the sight of spring and all of the newness that comes along with it has me downright giddy! Plus, I recently entered my second trimester of pregnancy, so I’m finally starting to feel new again, too! You know, aside from a tiny human taking up residence inside my already petite body, I’d say I’m feeling pretty good!

Stress Free Easter Outfit Shopping for the Cutest Shoes Around!

March 29, 2018 by Laura Tucker 2 Comments

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Sponsored by Payless ShoeSource for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.

The Easter season is one of my family’s favorite times of the year to celebrate. In addition to celebrating the meaning of Easter, we also love to pick out a new outfit for us to wear to church each year that reflects the changing of the season and is bright and colorful, just like Spring always proves to be! Unfortunately, it seems to be a common problem that the annual outfit selection process proves to be easier said than done, especially when dealing with a rather opinionated toddler who is a mini fashionista in training!

Quality & Affordable Farmhouse Signs from Charlie Dawn & Co

March 26, 2018 by Laura Tucker Leave a Comment

I received product from Charlie Dawn Co in exchange for my honest review. However, all opinions expressed are 100% my own. I only promote what I truly love!

Since moving into our brand new home back in late November, I’ve slowly but surely been collecting a few fun farmhouse pieces to fill our living spaces with that gorgeous rustic charm that I’ve absolutely fallen head over heels in love with. The moment I set out on my quest to find farmhouse decor to fit my style and my budget, it quickly became very evident to me that pretty things can cost a pretty penny, and it didn’t take long before I started to feel a little defeated in my quest to fill my house with all things farmhouse-chic. I mean, I just wanted it to look like Joanna Gaines is my bff and she popped over to help me spruce up the place…is that so much to ask?!
