Just yesterday I shared a simple little DIY spider cookie that is crazy easy to make and is perfect for the upcoming Halloween season. I talked about how it combined a nice balance of sweetness from the peanut butter and saltiness from the crackers and pretzels, which made me start brainstorming some more about ways to use up some of my other sweet and salty snacks I had tucked away in my pantry.

My original thought was to save them until Halloween, but ain’t nobody got time for that. I wanted to eat them now! I decided to get a little creative, though, and try incorporating them into my baking. I’ve had candy corn on top of cupcakes before, but I’ve never actually seen them cooked inside something.
