Summer 2017 is right around the corner, and churches all over the country are gearing up for an exciting summer filled with Vacation Bible School activities! One of the most popular VBS themes for 2016 was “Submerged” by Lifeway, where kids learned all about submerging themselves in God’s word and finding that Jesus doesn’t just see what’s on the outside of people, but instead He sees what’s deep down in the inside of people and loves us no matter what. Isn’t that such a great message? If you got to participate in Submerged this year, I’m sure it definitely made a “splash” of an impact on your life. I know it did mine!

Healthy Tummy, Happy Baby! UpSpring Probiotic + Colostrum Review

March 6, 2017 by Laura Tucker 1 Comment

“This review was made possible by iConnect and UpSpring.  I was provided compensation to facilitate this post, but all opinions stated are 100% mine.”

Since becoming a parent almost 2 years ago, I’ve made it a top priority to pay very close attention to the things that my little one consumes. When she started eating solids, I knew that if I didn’t stay on top of her diet and make sure she was eating balanced portions of fruits, veggies and proteins, she could be at risk of not getting all of the important nutrients that her body needed to maintain a healthy immune system.

Last year we dove down deep into God’s word when our church held our annual summer Vacation Bible School with Lifeway’s Submerged theme. (I shared lots of fun craft ideas for that particular theme which you can find here!)

This year, Lifeway is rolling out a SUPER cute theme called Galactic Starveyors where kids will discover the marvels of the sky painted by God the Creator!

Can we please move past all of this cold weather already and more right along to Spring? I’m ready to see some flowers bloom and to ditch my jacket and bring out the flip flops! I’m also super pumped about Easter (per usual) because yours truly is totally a big time fan of Cadbury Creme Eggs and basically ALL other Easter-y candies! Last year I was planning things to include in my baby’s Easter basket, but now that I have a toddler on my hands, things are a tad bit different!

A Smart Way to Stress Less with a Newborn (BlueSmart mia – The Latest Innovation in Baby Feeding)

December 21, 2016 by Laura Tucker Leave a Comment

I have been compensated for this post in exchange for my honest thoughts about the product(s) within this post. All opinions expressed are completely my own. I only promote what I truly love! #spon

I loved (almost) every minute of my pregnancy. I had good fortune in that I had no complications and minimal amounts of discomfort while I was expecting. I was truly very lucky! Even though nothing fit me right and I waddled a bit when I walked, I felt so beautiful carrying life inside me. I was the woman who bought and read all the books, attended special parenting classes and read tons of blog posts about infant safety and things you need/don’t need. I was mostly convinced that I knew it all and had all of my ducks in a row, but once my daughter made her grand entrance and things got really real, I began to quickly see how little about childcare I actually knew!

Gift Ideas For Kids Crazy About Elmo

November 12, 2016 by Laura Tucker Leave a Comment

Affiliate links are included in this post at absolutely no cost to you. I’m doing a lot of “Elmo shopping” for the holidays this year, and I put this shopping guide together in case you are, too!

We’re gearing up for Christmas #2 with out little girl, and there’s already so much excitement in the air. Last year she had no idea what was going on, but this year is a little bit different. She still doesn’t understand exactly what’s going on, but she really picks up on the excitement we’re all feeling and acts so excited, too!

About a month ago she started taking a strong notice of Sesame Street. We have an “I Spy” type of book where you have to try and spot Elmo and Grover on every page. She immediately took an intense interest in Elmo and shrieks with joy when she spots him on the page. It’s the cutest thing EVER!

September 30, 2016 by Laura Tucker 2 Comments

Who all is pumped up about VBS 2017?! It may be almost a year away, but lots of people are already starting to make preparations for the big undertaking that is Vacation Bible School. If you’ve ever been on the worker side of VBS, you know it’s quite a job…and very important one at that! There are quite a few themes to choose from this year, and they’re all SUPER cool!

Lifeway’s theme is lighting up the sky with Galactic Starveyors – a study where kids will learn all about the Creator of the universe. Group Children’s Ministry’s theme is Maker Fun Factory, where kids are getting a little technical and taking on the role of inventors as they study God, the greatest inventor of all time.

This year, Cokesbury has rolled out an amazing VBS theme called Hero Central, where children will be learning all about the different heroes of the Bible while discovering their own strength in God! Now that’s a message to really get excited about!

Outer Space Snack Ideas – Galactic Starveyors VBS

September 15, 2016 by Laura Tucker 6 Comments
