I loved (almost) every minute of my pregnancy. I had good fortune in that I had no complications and minimal amounts of discomfort while I was expecting. I was truly very lucky! Even though nothing fit me right and I waddled a bit when I walked, I felt so beautiful carrying life inside me. I was the woman who bought and read all the books, attended special parenting classes and read tons of blog posts about infant safety and things you need/don’t need. I was mostly convinced that I knew it all and had all of my ducks in a row, but once my daughter made her grand entrance and things got really real, I began to quickly see how little about childcare I actually knew!
Don’t get me wrong, though. There were several parental instincts that naturally kicked in along the way, but there were also some things that I would’ve had no clue about until our pediatrician told me, and also a few things I had to learn from trial and error. Knowing the proper amount of milk my daughter needed was not something that I knew naturally, and actually keeping up with that sort of thing throughout all of her many feeding during the day was a lot for my new mommy-brain to keep up with.
Things got even trickier when I was not the one to issue her feedings. I would often worry if my daughter had eaten enough while I was away, if the milk in the bottle was fresh, or even if she was being fed too frequently or not frequently enough. During this new transition into parenthood, I longed for something that would take the stress out of feedings for me, and leave me with peace of mind knowing that my daughter got everything she needed out of each feeding.
Even though my darling little infant girl is now a vivacious toddler who has moved past bottle feedings, I still have my eyes locked on this brand new smart feeding system hitting the shelves soon that will completely revolutionize the way parents with infants manage their baby’s feedings. Friends, feast your eyes on the BlueSmart mia – the modern way to safely monitor and manage bottle feedings from wherever you are! (This video gives you a glimpse at this amazing system, plus gives you all the feels as a parent with a newborn. Trust me!) 😉
The BlueSmart mia is a smart sleeve that fits over traditional baby bottles and helps keep track of all of the important elements of infant feeding, such as proper temperature, amount consumed and the timing of feedings. It truly is like having a second set of eyes watching over your little one, and it also takes so much of the stress and guesswork out of feeding a newborn. Here’s a few of the features that really make this device stand out as a must-have for all new parents:
Feeding Notifications:
The BlueSmart mia connects to an app that alerts you when feedings are happening in real time. It also tells you the duration of the feeding and tracks portion measurements to let you know how much the baby ate. This is particularly helpful when you are away from the baby and need to keep a record of how frequently and how much your baby consumes.
Temperature and Bottle Position Alerts:
You will also receive notifications through an app that tells you if the temperature of the contents of the bottle is adequate, and if the bottle is being held in the optimal position for your baby. It even alerts you when the contents of the bottle may need to be discarded or has expired!
Top Notch Technology Features:
The BlueSmart mia has a built-in worry free WiFi connection and a convenient wireless charger. It even allows multiple users to connect to one account so everyone can input important data and have access to baby’s progress.
The App That Keeps it All Together:
To help parents track and analyze their baby’s feeding intake, an app is included that allows you to track your child’s food consumption, see when the next feeding is scheduled for and track important milestones in baby’s development – and all right from the dashboard! You can even record sleep and growth data and view and share previous records. The app is a great way to regain that peace of mind that you really need as a new parent, especially when you’re away from the baby for longer periods of time. It allows for you and your child’s caregiver to be completely on the same page when it comes to feeding your baby, and the app is also useful in tracking and sharing information with your child’s pediatrician.
Once I brought my sweet baby home from the hospital, realizing that the nurses from the hospital weren’t actually going to come home with me and help me figure things out was a tiny bit scary for me. I knew I had a lot to learn as a brand new parent, and having the BlueSmart mia would’ve been a dream come true to help me in my transition. As I make plans to grow my family in the future, the BlueSmart mia definitely has a place in those plans to help keep the stress away and give me comfort knowing my infant will be getting exactly what they need!
