Can we please move past all of this cold weather already and more right along to Spring? I’m ready to see some flowers bloom and to ditch my jacket and bring out the flip flops! I’m also super pumped about Easter (per usual) because yours truly is totally a big time fan of Cadbury Creme Eggs and basically ALL other Easter-y candies! Last year I was planning things to include in my baby’s Easter basket, but now that I have a toddler on my hands, things are a tad bit different!
I always have so much fun putting together fun treats for my daughter, so I thought I’d share a few of the things I’m crushing on for her 2nd ever Easter basket! If you’re on the prowl for fun Easter basket ideas or Easter Egg fillers, be sure to swing by my two posts featured below!
20 Easter Basket Fillers for Babies | 15 Egg-celent Easter Egg Fillers (That Aren’t Candy)
Bunny Shaped Cracker Snacks – What toddler doesn’t love snack crackers? My daughter is crazy about graham crackers and cheese crackers, so these little organic bunny shaped snack packages are absolutely perfect to go into her Easter basket this year!
Easter Themed Coloring Book – Coloring books are a great item to put into an Easter basket. Any ol’ coloring book will do, but I’m particularly fond of this Peter Rabbit coloring book. Peter Rabbit is a timeless character and the pages in this coloring book reflect that. They’re easy enough for toddlers to color, but they’re beautiful and full of charm!
Non-Toxic Crayon Rocks – If you give a kid a coloring book, of course they’ll need some crayons to go with it! But I didn’t want to put just any regular ol’ box of crayolas in there. I stumbled across these super cool non-toxic rock shaped crayons, and I really love them because they’re in a unique shape that is easy for little hands to grip and not break, and there’s no paper on them to pick off…which my daughter LOVES to do. These are a win/win!
Reusable Snack Bags – Since it seems like toddlers basically live off of snacks, I thought these cute little reusable snack pouches would be perfect (especially to put those cute little bunny shaped snacks in!) We go through plastic zip-loc bags like crazy, so these are a great option for us. They also come in different colors and patterns!
Peter Rabbit Organic Squeeze Pouches – If your baby is still crazy about fruity squeeze pouches like mine is, these Peter Rabbit organic pouches are a must! I love these because I can’t find them at my local Walmart or dollar store. These are a special (and healthy) treat and I think it’s really fitting that they have a bunny rabbit on the front. It’s like it was meant to go in an Easter basket, y’all! If your kid has moved past eating squeeze pouches, maybe throw in their favorite juice instead!
Toddler Plate Set – As parents, we all know that meal time with a toddler is usually never fun (primarily because it’s super messy) but we might as well make it a fun experience for them, right? I love the idea of adding a fun feeding set into an Easter basket. I also REALLY love this Pat the Bunny set that’s perfect for Easter and is a little more gender neutral!
Easter Themed DVD – Can I share a little confession here? I love Veggie Tales. I’m a grown woman and I absolutely love them. I think they’re hilarious and totally not annoying like so many other kids shows. They often include little tidbits of humor in their shows that only adults would understand, which I totally appreciate. We (surprisingly) don’t own this particular DVD yet, so it’s definitely hopping on over into the kiddo’s Easter basket this year!
Easter Outfit – While your little one is on the official Easter Egg hunt this year, why not make sure they’re wearing something totally adorable and bunny-themed?! I’m really crazy about this sweet little outfit by Mud Pie. (I’ve also picked out a cute shirt for little boys listed below.) Other ideas for including clothing in your Easter basket are to pick out something dressy to wear to church or something fun and whimsical to wear to have your picture made with the Easter bunny in! While you’re shopping and looking around, you might want to browse my favorite online consignment store, ThredUp for some really cute Spring-y finds. In fact, here’s $10 for you to pick out something with. Completely FREE! Happy Easter! ?
Chicks Dig Me Toddler Boy Shirt – Of course I can’t leave the little boys out! I think this “Chick’s Dig Me” shirt is super adorable. It comes in lots of different colors and sizes, too! (Don’t forget about that $10 shopping pass to ThredUp I told you about in the last post. They have a huge selection of boys clothes, too!)
Duck and Goose Board Book – Board books are a great filler item to include in a basket! Bonus points if they’re Easter related! I really love this Duck and Goose board book and this Bedtime Bunny story!
Guess How Much I Love You Book – Such a classic. SO timeless! “I love you right up to the moon and back” is the famous line from this little book. This is a perfect addition to give to any child at Easter. Plus, it comes with a super cute little bunny plush!
Make a Splash with Bubble Bath – We’ve already all agreed that toddlers are super messy little things, so why not give them something fun to clean themselves up with? (Or just make a bigger mess..which is totally likely when they’re splashing in the tub!) My daughter is going through a really big Elmo phase right now, so these Elmo bubble bath bottles will be perfect for her!
Toddler Sippy Cups – Every toddler has their favorite cup! Why not add a new one into the mix? I’ve never seen these super cute Curious George cups before, so they definitely caught my eye. Amazon has a huge selection of cups to choose from!
Farm Animal Wooden Cube Puzzle – While we really don’t need any more toys in the house, one thing we could use more of is fun, brain building puzzles. I really, really love this little set of cube puzzles because there are multiple different puzzles to put together all in one, AND they can be used as regular stacking blocks! Perfect for little toddler hands!
Bunny Rabbit Socks – Every little bunny needs a new pair of socks! I thought this little 5 pack of girls socks was just too stinkin’ cute! I also really like these bunny socks for boys, too! 😉
Easter Stickers – My little one is crazy about stickers! She loves to wear them on her shirt and stick them inside her coloring books. I love this roll of Easter themed stickers! It’d tuck perfectly inside an Easter basket!
Finger Puppet Animals – Finger puppets are a fun Easter Basket idea! This bunch of 10 is really inexpensive…and I spy a bunny rabbit in the mix!
Cuddly Bunny Plush – Everybody needs a big, plush bunny rabbit to cuddle! I really love this one because it’s not Easter-specific. The coloring is beautiful and it looks so lovable!
Easter Themed Bath Toys – Splish splash baby’s gotta take a bath! And why not let them play with these super cute Easter ducks! They’re a little quirky, but that’s what makes them fun!
Crochet Bunny Rabbit Cap – My initial thought was to include a pair of bunny ears, which you can find basically anywhere, but then I stumbled upon this insanely adorable little crochet hat..and my heart just went pitter patter! It’s too cute for words, y’all. Too cute!
Modeling Dough – If your toddler is old enough to play with playdoh, these egg-shaped dough containers would be fun to add in to an Easter basket! 😉
