These Rubber Ducky Valentine Cards are a fun little way to make any Valentine recipient feel like a lucky duck!
Earlier last week my daughter received a note in her school folder reminding all parents that Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching, and each student will need to make a little Valentine mail box so all classmates can deliver each other special Valentine treats during their class party. I loved passing out Valentine cards and treats to my classmates in elementary school, so this was definitely a project I’m excited to help my daughter with!
While coming up with a mail box idea, I started brainstorming ideas for treats to share with the other children. I knew I wanted to do something special in addition to traditional candy. Candy only lasts for a minute, so the thought of giving kids a little extra trinket to hold on to had my daughter really excited!
We found these Valentine themed rubber ducks on Oriental Trading, so we bought two 12 count bags and picked up some cellophane treat bags from the dollar store.
If you’re in a time-crunch, Amazon also has these really cute rubber duck options (here and here) that are perfect for Valentine’s Day!
I created these fun little printable tags to go along with the rubber duck theme, and I made them large enough to slip inside a cellophane bag and staple the bag shut so the rubber duck doesn’t get lost. Each printable prints two to a page, but you are free to print as many as you’d like!
