It’s time to saddle up and pull on those cowboy boots, because this summer is going to be a stampede of fun with the kickoff of Yee Haw Weekend VBS happening at churches all across the country!
Children have the opportunity to discover just how great Jesus’ love truly is while trailblazing through fun games, cool crafts and foot-stompin’ music they’re sure to remember for years!
Yee Haw VBS is produced by Group, who are also the masterminds behind the VBS ministry Roar!, happening this coming summer and Shipwrecked, which many of you may have seen during the summer of 2018. Yee Haw VBS is specifically a weekend VBS, meaning all of the materials are compressed into a single weekend instead of 5 days like traditional VBS events. This sort of VBS setup is particularly ideal for churches in smaller communities or with smaller congregations, or churches that may have tighter budgets or are limited on volunteers. Nevertheless, it’s a super cool curriculum that’s going to be a total BLAST this summer with kids and adults alike, and I can’t wait to see children coming together to discover the love of Jesus through it!

We are thinking about doing an all day combination VBS and parent’s day out the Sat after Thanksgiving. Our thought is that parents want to shop/ have couple time without kids, and that non-Christians are more open to the idea of their kids hearing the Christmas story and gospel at Christmas time than any other time (except maybe Easter). This curriculum seems perfect.
We will decorate the stage more like a ranch setting with the cowboys, barn, hay bales, animals in either corral or stalls. Any additional ideas or thoughts you have ld be welcome.
