These Guilt Free Peanut Butter Balls are a great and healthier snack option that the whole family will love!
I was born and raised right next door to the peanut capitol of the world. My grandfather was a peanut farmer, and the southeastern corner of the beautiful state of Alabama has a very rich culture that thrived from peanut production. My hometown has a plant that produces peanuts near the downtown area, and a drive down main street at the right time of day will bring you a smell so rich, you’ll think someone opened up a jar of peanut butter right in your own car. Peanuts have a way of speaking to me like no other crop can, and it’s no surprise that I absolutely love to whip up recipes that call for the creamy golden goodness of peanut butter!
A few years ago I tried Pic’s Peanut Butter for the very first time. Growing up around peanuts, you would think that I knew what real peanut butter tasted like, but all I knew was peanut butter that had heaps of sugar added to it to mask the earthy flavors of real ground peanuts. Come to find out, America is one of the only countries that adds sugar to the peanut butter. No surprise there, honestly. We do love our sugar!
Fortunately, trying Pic’s Peanut Butter turned my love for peanut butter in a whole new direction. Pic’s Peanut Butter is all-natural, sugar free, has no additives and is NON GMO verified. It’s simply the good stuff – real ground peanuts and a hint of salt.
At the beginning of the summer, I set out on a personal health mission to begin eliminating the junk in my pantry and replace it with more wholesome and natural alternatives. I’m trying to consume considerably less refined sugar, and having Pic’s Peanut Butter on hand has really helped me to stay on track and snack smarter!
The biggest thing I struggled with at the beginning of my quest to eliminate refined sugars was not getting my fill of peanut butter and chocolate. Before, it wasn’t uncommon for me to mosey into the pantry and find a peanut butter cup or two to snack on, but now I realize how much sugar and artificial nonsense I was filling my body with. Thus, my quest to find a scrumptious and guilt-free alternative to a peanut butter cup was born! Whoever thought of combining chocolate and peanut butter together should honestly win a Nobel prize for their amazing contribution to society. It’s certainly one of the finer things in life in my opinion!
Pic’s is a great and healthy source of fat and protein, and it contains no added sugar whatsoever. It’s lower in carbs, and thus makes for a great ingredient to use in Keto and low carb-friendly recipes! Pic’s Peanut Butter hails from the beautiful country of New Zealand, but is available to the US market through Amazon! You can find the following varieties listed on Amazon Below:

I also use a stevia-sweetened chocolate and Swerve Confectioners Sugar Alternative in this recipe to help cut out the unnecessary sugar. It’s been amazing having these better-for-you pantry staples on hand to help my family enjoy the foods we love without the processed “junk” ingredients inside!
Guilt Free Peanut Butter Balls
Ingredients
- 1 cup Pic's Peanut Butter smooth
- 3 Tbs coconut flour
- 3 Tbs Swerve Confectioners Sugar Alternative
- 1/4 cup sugar free or naturally sweetened syrup
- 1 cup stevia sweetened chocolate chips
- 1 Pinch coarse sea salt for garnish
Instructions

- Form small balls using your hands and place on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Set in freezer for about 10 minutes.
- Remove from freezer and melt chocolate chips in the microwave for a few seconds at a time - careful not to scorch
- Dip peanut butter balls in chocolate to coat and set on parchment paper
- While chocolate is still wet, sprinkle a little coarse sea salt on top
- Place in refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes to fully firm up
- Store in air tight container or Ziploc bag in refrigerator
- Enjoy!

Peanut butter balls are so quick and easy to make, and now that I can enjoy them without the guilt, they’ve quickly become a go-to snack when I need a little bit of sweetness in my life. I typically make a small batch and store them in my refrigerator to pull one out when I need a little pick-me-up. Adding a pinch of coarse sea salt on top really takes them over the top for me. I’m a big time fan of sweet + salty!
