I love back-to-school season. I absolutely adore watching my social media feeds fill up with adorable photos of kids attending their first day of class, the sales in retail and grocery stores are always out of this world, and I get so excited to fill out my calendar with exciting events that are happening at the local school here in my community.
Because it’s typically a busier time than usual, a lot of parents are scrambling to find the time to attend all of the extracurricular activities their kids are involved in while also finding the time to make sure the family is fed a decent meal during those busy weeknights. The weeknight dinner struggle can be real sometimes, you guys!
I understand what it’s like to be moving in so many different directions that it’s hard to think straight and come up with a simple cooked meal that my whole family will love. Ideally, all weeknight meals in this household need to be ready in 30 minutes or less, and contain a minimal amount of prep-work and ingredients to make it all come together. That’s where my Easy Parmesan Meatball Sliders come in to save the day on those busy nights that I need to serve up something delicious in a jiffy!
When the back to school season begins, I love to stock up on Cooked Perfect® Meatballs to use in multiple quick and easy meals for my family. During my most recent shopping trip at my local Publix, I grabbed a few bags of the Angus Beef variety to use in my Parmesan Meatball Sliders recipe. (You can also find Cooked Perfect Meatballs in Italian Style, Gluten Free Italian Style, Homestyle and Turkey varieties – all in the frozen foods section!)
Having Cooked Perfect Meatballs on hand in my freezer makes for the perfect solution to busy weeknight meals. One of my favorite ways to prepare them is in a simple meatball parmigiana, which can not only be used to make these easy sliders, but can also be eaten over pasta, mashed potatoes or simply by itself! Meatballs are so versatile, and I love using Cooked Perfect Meatballs because they’re flame broiled to sear in the delicious and juicy flavors of the quality meats, real cheeses and aromatic herbs and spices that are packed in!
To make the meatball sliders, simply pour a package of frozen Cooked Perfect Meatballs into a skillet and cover with a 24 oz bottle of marinara sauce. Sprinkle with a handful or two of shredded Parmesan and mozzarella cheese and bake at 350 F for 30-35 minutes.
The meatballs will simmer in the marinara sauce and all of those delicious meaty flavors will pour out into the sauce. It’s so delicious, I promise you’ll want to lick the spoon! I sprinkled a handful of fresh chopped parsley over the meatballs and dipped a spoonful onto a ciabatta roll. I made sure to drizzle a little extra marinara sauce and extra cheese on each one before serving to my family.
You just can’t beat a good meatball slider, and the fact that they’re ready from start to finish in about 35 minutes is the icing on the cake! Depending on the size of the bun you use, you can feed a family of 4 with absolutely no problem using this recipe. We were able to fit 3 meatballs on each bun and made 7 slider sandwiches all together.
A tasty meal that comes together with minimal time, effort and zero fuss and it on the table in no time at all makes me want to sing and dance all day long. Talk about a total mom-win! 😉
