Some people love the winter season, and some may prefer the warmer summer months or the crisp cool Fall breeze. As much as I love all of the changing seasons we have in this life, there’s only one season of the year that gets me really excited. If there’s one thing that I know to be true, it’s this:
There’s nothing in this world quite like football season! 😉
While our favorite team just recently finished up their amazing season, there’s still lots of players passing the pigskin on TV, and there’s some pretty big games coming up that’ll have our attention! Every time our family hurdles up on the couch to watch the big game, I make sure that I’ve got something delicious to fix for us to munch on that’ll score some major points with everyone’s taste buds.
When I need to stock up on game day grub essentials, I head on down the road to my local Dollar General to get everything I need! (Fun fact: I live in a very rural area, and Dollar General is the only store within a 30 minute drive from my house. You could say Dollar General is the real MVP for my family!) 😉
Before I even thought about what we’d be snacking on for the big game, I made sure I made a pit stop down the beverage aisle to pick up some Coca-Cola and a case of Coke Zero. If you ask me, you can’t have game day snacks without washing it all down with a cool, refreshing Coca-Cola! It’s the winning choice that always takes our game day spread to the next level.
By the way, did you know that you can download the Dollar General app and score some pretty sweet savings on brands like Coca-Cola? Just download the app, enable your Bluetooth while shopping in the store and watch the savings come straight to your phone!
While I was at the DG, I picked up a few other necessities that I needed to make a fantastic meal for my family to snack on while we all watched the game. I decided that my Buffalo Chicken Bacon Ranch dip would be just the thing to pair with a cold glass of Coca-Cola, and everything I needed was right there in the store!
After my little shopping trip, I came home and decided it was time to get my head in the game. I immediately started making big plays in the kitchen and mixing up all of the necessary ingredients to make the ooey gooey cheesy chicken ranch dip that I knew my family was going to go crazy over!
I also picked up a few other things while at the Dollar General that were a must-have to make our feast celebration-worthy. I stocked up on plates, napkins, cups, etc. and put them all together to make our spread super fun and festive! I love that the DG is a one-stop shop where I can get just about everything I need to make our game day great!
Once I pulled the Buffalo Chicken Bacon Ranch Dip out of the oven, my family swarmed right in like moths to a flame! I broke out the crackers and pretzels and we all dug right in. This dish is so easy to put together, and it’s sure to be a fan favorite and a number 1 pick with everyone that takes a bite!

This was SO delicious!! I followed your exact recipe and I don’t think it was too thick at all. It was nice and creamy and the flavors were great! My husband ate two bowlfuls and wanted more. We had plenty for leftovers. Thanks–this is a keeper!
