I’m ready for a little change around here. In my own personal life, it feels like this year has had more rocky moments than smooth ones. While I know strength is formed when you walk through rough patches, I also know that no matter what road you’re on, change will come. That’s why I love the spring season so much. Spring offers us such a beautiful visual reminder that a brand new season of growth and renewal is upon us. The warming temperatures and the budding flowers remind me of the beauty of life all around me, and if you don’t take the time to pause and reflect on these things, you just might miss them.
Through these rocky patches I’ve experienced, I’ve found that much of my personal growth and renewal comes from intentionally seeking out moments of rest, relaxation and slowing down so that I can enjoy simple pleasures in life. Rest and relaxation don’t exactly come easy to a mother of two little girls ages 4 and under, so I try my best to make it a point to create small, simple moments that I can enjoy without much effort that help me unwind when I’m feeling a little tense.
Up until recently, I’d turn to my afternoon cup of coffee for a quick pick-me-up when my oldest daughter came home from school. After a recent health related diagnosis, I’ve been more mindful about the things I’m putting into my body and how food and beverages can effect our overall mood. Instead of reaching for the coffee, I’ve stocked my pantry with a few varieties of Bigelow Tea, and it’s been an incredibly refreshing change in my daily life that came at a perfect time.

Enjoying a hot cup of Bigelow Tea in the afternoon has been a great switch for me personally, as I’ve found that each cup with a little bit of local honey added has had great benefits as far as transitioning from cold/flu season into allergy season. I live in the middle of a field of pine trees, and every slight breeze blowing through the trees results in a thick sheet of yellow pollen covering my entire front and back lawn. While that golden pollen is beautiful for helping bring new life in my garden, it’s been known to wreck havoc on my sinuses.
In addition to my afternoon cup of tea, one of my favorite things to pair it with is a simple charcuterie board for myself and my girls to graze on all afternoon until it’s time for our nighttime routine to kick in. Fresh fruits, veggies, cheese and crackers all offer a perfect snacking opportunity, and the sky is the limit when it comes to what you’d like to add to customize your board! By shopping online at Walmart.com. I conveniently stocked up on two of my new favorites teas to go with my charcuterie board: Bigelow Matcha Green Tea with Tumeric and Green Tea with Pomegranate.
One of the things that makes Bigelow Tea my #1 choice of tea is their wide variety of flavors. I am all about having variety in my life, and that’s why creating charcuterie boards is one of my favorite things to do during this time of year. Depending on the tones coming through in my tea, I love to nibble on things that complement the flavors of my beverage. Bigelow Matcha Green Tea with Tumeric has a really beautiful and unique peppery taste to it, so I love to graze on cheese and crackers with a few pieces of fruit while I sip this tea. The Green Tea with Pomegranate has a much more vibrant and sweeter tone to it, and I find myself grazing on the fresh and dried fruits the most when I’m sipping this variety in the afternoon.
If the concept of a charcuterie board is a little lost on you, no need to fret! A charcuterie board is simply a collection of foods that typically feature fresh and dried fruits, nuts, cured meats, an assortment of cheeses and a few additional sweet and savory options that all pair nicely together. Ideally, the foods will be able to sit out for a couple of hours without spoiling, so that partakers can graze over the board at their leisure. Typically, a charcuterie board is arranged in such a way that creates an appealing blend of colors and textures that appeal to the eye, and there’s truthfully not a wrong way to do it at all! You can add as many or as few things as you like, and it’s a great way to add a touch of sophistication to your snack time. It also allows you to skip heating up the stove or oven, which is something I love to avoid as the temperatures start to change!
With the changing season, one thing that will remain constant for me is keeping Bigelow Tea stocked in my pantry, no matter what season it is. Along with an array of fruits, veggies and other miscellaneous snacks to make my beloved charcuterie boards, Bigelow Tea is part of my #BigelowSpringEssentials to help me make sure I’m sneaking in moments of rest and relaxation so that I can celebrate new growth and renewal later. I am able to Tea Proudly when I drink Bigelow Tea, because Bigelow shares everything they are proud of that gives consumers the reassurance they are making the right choice and are in the know.
