What if I told you that you could highlight your natural beauty using things found in nature? That you could optimize your beauty routine by ditching the toxins, chemicals, preservatives and artificial colors and replace them with simple, 100% natural and cruelty free ingredients and still feel flawless and beautiful? I wasn’t so sure that I would ever find a makeup that would fit all of my needs that wasn’t filled to the brim with yucky chemicals, but I’ve seen the light on the other side, and it’s positively amazing (and 100% Pure!)
These three little beauties just recently made their debut into my makeup bag, and they are stealing the show in really big ways! I’ve always taken a sort-of simple approach to my makeup. Aside from being hopelessly devoted to my black eyeliner, I try to keep my look mostly natural. I like neutral palettes and tones, and I’m not a fan of doing touch-ups throughout the day. I need my makeup to be strong enough to last (and hide my freckles,) but light enough to not weigh me down and make my skin feel cake-y and gross.
Knowing that these products are made with the highest quality ingredients, are free of harmful toxins and chemicals and are made with natural ingredients (like fruit extracts) makes me feel truly great – inside and out! It’s almost like I’m feeding my skin a special treat every time I apply it! I know that this makeup isn’t filling my skin and pores with yucky particles, and my skin doesn’t feel greasy and grimy at the end of the day.
I was sent the 20 Aglow BB Cream, Maracuja Oil Mascara and Cocoa Butter Matte Lipstick to try out (and fall in love with.)
BB Cream: 20 Aglow
I really love the coverage that this cream gives when applied. I have freckles on my face that I try to conceal, and I feel that this product does a great job without giving off an unnatural look. It also gives off a light shimmery glow that highlights my skin in a really nice way. I really appreciate that it has a built-in SPF to protect my skin from the sun (and more freckles.) I do feel that the cream feels a little heavy when first applied, but it doesn’t leave my skin feeling heavy or oily while I’m wearing it. The BB Cream is available in 3 shades and is gluten free and vegan!
Maracuja Oil Mascara:
You know what makes me feel really cool? Knowing that my eyelashes are rockin’ a mascara that is pigmented with blackberries and black tea leaves. I mean, c’mon y’all! How neat is that?! AND it smells ah-mazing! This mascara is very light and leaves no clumps behind at all. As far as adding length or volume to my lashes, I do think it is lacking a bit. I’d love to see a more sophisticated design in the applicator brush, as I think it would help give lashes more definition and volume. I think this mascara is great for day-to-day wear. It is available in 3 different colors, has a built-in conditioner and it also vegan and gluten free!
Cocoa Butter Matte Lipstick:
This is probably my favorite item from the 100% pure line that I’ve tried. This lipstick is so light and airy feeling, it’s hard to tell that I’m even wearing it! The shade I received is Pink Canyon, and it’s a shade or two darker than my natural lip color, so it’s perfect for every day wear. It has a matte finish that I’m absolutely crazy about, is pigmented with fruit, and keeps my lips feeling soft all day long! I didn’t feel like I really needed to touch up my lips as frequently as I do when I wear other lipsticks, which is perfect for my busy lifestyle. The matte lipsticks from 100% pure come in 9 beautiful shades and are gluten, toxin and cruelty free!
I’ve never been one to take very many selfies because I’m usually taking pictures of other things, but this makeup gave me new breath and made me want to be in front of the camera instead of behind it! I truly feel like it gives me a beautiful and natural look that’s actually good for me. 100% pure is on top of their game when it comes to high-quality cosmetic products that are natural and clean. I’ll definitely be making a note for Santa to bring me more in my stocking this year!

Too bad you didn’t mention the colour name of the lipstick 🙂
Hi Carmen,
My apologies! I’m not sure why I didn’t include that very important information! The color I’m wearing in the photos is Pink Canyon. Hope that helps!
Great review Laura!
I’ve had 100% Pure lipsticks recommend to me multiple times, I think it’s time I placed an order! The Pink Canyon colour looks gorgeous on you – I think I’ll go for the neutrals like Mojave and Mirage for myself.
I gave the ingredients a quick look. Just to back up your point that these lipsticks are toxin and cruelty free – they don’t contain animal products like lanolin oil, carmine, and beeswax – plus, they don’t contain the allergen ricinoleic acid.
Just in case your readers are looking to go natural, (or are vegan/or prone to allergies) we recently published a piece exposing some lipstick ingredients you may want to avoid. Plus, we discuss the past and future of lipstick ingredients:

Thanks again for sharing this review – can’t wait to get my hands on a 100% Pure lipstick!
