I absolutely love the newness that the spring season brings. Spring has always resonated with me as a period of change and growth, and there has certainly been a lot of that in our household over the last month! My 8 month old has been growing by leaps and bounds it seems like. She’s gaining more independence and has certainly become opinionated when it comes to the things she wants. She’s become very grabby at the dinner table and more interested in the things other people are eating, especially the things her big sister is eating.
As she’s become more curious about food, we’ve started introducing her to a few new “finger-food” options. I’ve always wanted to make sure the first foods my are exposed to are made with real, wholesome ingredients, so I decided to make a batch of mini finger pancakes that were packed with real fruit goodness for my baby to try. To give these pancakes an extra boost of goodness, I reached for the Beech-Nut® Naturals™ I had stocked in our pantry to use as a key ingredient in the recipe.
As a mom, I’ve always been a fan of Beech-Nut® products. I fed them to my oldest child as a baby, and now I continue to choose Beech-Nut® Naturals™ to feed and nourish my youngest. Beech-Nut® Naturals™ contains ingredients that are 100% natural with nothing artificial. They’re made with real fruits and vegetables, just like you would use at home. Each jar contains ingredients that I can pronounce, so I know there’s no mystery as to what I’m feeding my baby.
In addition to making a wholesome treat for my baby to enjoy, I also wanted it to be something everyone in the family could enjoy, too. The pancakes have fresh bananas and Beech-Nut® Naturals™ Just Apples baked right in, so they get plenty of natural sweetness from the fruit. However, knowing my daughter loves a little extra sweetness every now and then, I decided to present these pancakes to her in a really fun way!
With Easter right around the corner, I designed a cute little bunny face on a plate for her, and I also added a little fresh fruit and cream on top of a small stack. There are so many ways you can decorate and serve pancakes, and knowing they’re made with Beech-Nut® Naturals™ means I’m serving up a stack of goodness for everyone who partakes!
Here’s a free printable copy of the recipe for these simple banana pancakes. Before serving them to your baby, make sure there are no egg allergies and always break into appropriately sized pieces if necessary before serving.

Both my 8 month old and my 3 year old were thrilled to see a stack of these banana pancakes on the table for them this weekend, and I was thrilled to serve them to them. These little pancakes also freeze well, so if you have extras you can pop them in the freezer to serve again at a later time! What ways are you serving up goodness to your little ones this spring?
