In a large bowl, combine eggnog, heavy cream, sugar and nutmeg and stir well

Refrigerate mixture until very cold

Pour mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to your machine's directions

Once ice cream is finished churning (be very careful not to over churn) place in a sealed container and allow to firm up in freezer

Scoop ice cream into a tall glass and pour Coca-Cola over it

Add a little whipped cream and a cherry on top - if desired
