  • 8-10 slices bacon cooked
  • 8 slices artisan bread
  • 6 eggs
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 1/2 Tbs whiskey or bourbon
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup syrup
  • 1 Tbs whiskey or bourbon


  • In a large bowl, combine eggs, milk, bourbon, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg and whisk together until well combined.
  • Preheat skillet or griddle to medium-low heat
  • Preheat oven to 350° F
  • Submerge 1 piece of bread into batter and allow to soak for about 30 seconds
  • Carefully remove bread and place on griddle. Cook for about 1 minute on each side
  • Set cooked french toast on a baking sheet. Once all french toast is cooked, place baking sheet in the oven and cook for about 12-15 minutes, or until french toast has become lightly golden and crispy around the edges
  • Layer pieces of cooked bacon throughout the stack of french toast when plating.
  • Combine 1/2 cup syrup with 1 Tbs bourbon and drizzle over pancakes. Serve immediately and enjoy!
