Preheat oven to 350 F
In a large skillet, cook bacon according to package instructions, making sure the bacon is still slightly soft when finished and not too crisp
Transfer cooked bacon to a plate covered with a paper towel and let the grease drain off of each piece
In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, mayo, ranch mix and buffalo sauce and stir well
Add in 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese, shredded chicken and chopped bacon (leaving a few pieces to top the dip with)
Pour into a greased pie plate or casserole dish and cover with a layer of swiss cheese slices, followed by remaining shredded cheddar cheese
Bake for 25 minutes
Remove from oven and top with extra bacon pieces and chopped green onion if desired
Serve with crackers or toasted bread
