Ladies and gentlemen! Boys and girls! We warmly invite you to a spectacular little party that is sure to amaze! Start brushing up on your pricing skills and step up your Plinko game, because a very special little girl is finally ONE!
Are you ready, folks? Then COME ON DOWN! You’re the next party participant at Taralynn’s Price is Right birthday party!
Most little girls these days have a themed birthday centered around their favorite show or princess. I’ve seen a plethora of Sofia the First, Mickey and Minnie Mouse and Sesame Street parties taking place, but my little girl prefers something just a tad bit different.
Fun fact about Taralynn: She hasn’t missed an episode of The Price is Right since the day she came home from the hospital (thanks to DVR, of course). She doesn’t like to watch anything else. When Drew Carrey walks out on that stage at 10:00 am every morning, she squeals with joy. Not kidding! So having anything other than a Price is Right inspired party just didn’t seem right. They don’t exactly have that party theme available to buy at Walmart, so I had to get a little creative. Besides, when your little girl loves The Price is Right more than anything, you just kind of make it happen!
Our family loves to gather around a table of BBQ and all the fixings, so we knew this would be the perfect things to serve for such a special occasion. Yum yum!
I picked up this gorgeous red velvet cake from the bakery at Walmart this week, and it was definitely the star of the showroom floor during our party. It was a first for Taralynn, and she approved! 😉
I created a few fun little cupcake toppers to match the occasion. I even decked out a few of them with glitter to add a little pizzaz! You can find a free printable of the cupcake toppers by clicking the link below! If you choose to download any of the printables, I’d love for you to subscribe as well! 😉

We all marched on down to bidder’s row and filled up our plates with some fabulous BBQ pulled chicken from Jack Stack’s BBQ. It was a huge win with our tummies for sure!
One of her very favorite games to watch is Plinko. She loves to watch the chips fall down and land in the money slots. I knew these “plinko” chips were definitely a must for our menu!
And you definitely can’t have barbeque on the table without having a side of “Come on Down” coleslaw! Taralynn’s great grandmother (aka “Mema”) does a wonderful job making coleslaw. Our favorite way to eat it is ON the BBQ sandwich!
Next was Taralynn’s food of choice: Bob Barker Baked Beans! Since Taralynn started eating solids at 6 months, baked beans very quickly became one of her favorite things to eat. She had her first bite at her Papa’s high school reunion and has been hooked ever since! We thought it might be a nice little homage to pay to our beloved Bob Barker to name her favorite dish after him. 😉
And it’s just not a party until someone cracks open a can of “Showcase Showdown” soda pop! I found some really cute straws in the party section at Walmart that I thought would be perfect for the occasion.

And of course we all had to sport those iconic yellow name tags like they do on the show! It really felt like all of our party guests were true contestants on the game show. It was such a blast!

Amongst all of the busyness of the day, my husband and I paused to snap this special family photo together. We’ve had such an incredible year learning to become parents and raising such a sweet little baby. The days are sometimes long, but the years go by far too fast!
Finally, we moved on to the best part of the day: PRESENTS! My husband and I had something really special up our sleeve, and it went a little something like this:
(Note: You must read this just like George Gray, the announcer of the The Price is Right) 🙂

You’ll be sitting pretty in this patent plastic high-back seat, and don’t forget to pack your toys to take to Mema’s house in your spacious storage compartment in the back! Have been struggling with ideas for a 1 year birthday party that not everyone has done for their little boy. I thought – PERFECT! The Price is Right! Surely no one could have done this yet- but I’m so glad someone has, but just not often. I love your ideas and they are even different than what I was thinking, so there will be more details to add to what I have planned! Thank you for sharing this!

It’s such a fun theme! I’d love to see what you add to it!

Hello! My son is turning three later in December. We are hosting a Price is Right themed party for him this weekend.
Would you be willing to share a file of the tags that I could edit? We are following much of your awesome food items but I’d love to make him a name tag he can wear during his party as well as edit some of the items.
I would SO appreciate it and I’d even be willing to pay you for the template.
Thank you!

Hi Tori!
I do not have an editable file for these, but I found the blank version of the name tags with just a simple google search. I uploaded the blank name tag into a photo editor like Pic Monkey or Canva to add the text. I hope that helps!
