Toddler Game Day Fashions from Lily B Creations

October 6, 2016 by Laura Tucker Leave a Comment

I have not been compensated for this post in any way. I enjoy sharing about my experiences with companies in hopes that you may enjoy your experiences with them as well! All thoughts and opinions expressed are 100% my own.

Hello, friends! I’ve got a quick little story to share with you about an amazing experience I had with a sweet little shop on Etsy just a few weeks ago. Lily B Creations is a store that carries a variety of monogrammed and appliqued goodies that are just too stinkin’ cute, and the customer service is hands down the very best. Here’s a snippet about how I came to learn about Lily B Creations, and how they were so diligent in crafting the perfect game day dress for my little girl!

I moved away from “home” during the summer after I graduated high school in 2008. I’ve gone back to visit family and friends countless times, but I’d never actually gone back to cheer on my high school team at a sporting event. A few months ago I received a notification  on Facebook from a friend informing me that my high school was going to have a special celebration to honor the students in my graduating class during Homecoming. I was excited about the opportunity to visit my alma mater and to take my daughter to my ol’ stomping grounds!

But then it hit me: What in the world was my little butter bean going to wear? She didn’t have a single thing in her closet that matched my high school’s colors, and she needed something cute and age appropriate that would really stand out. Without hesitation, I went straight to Etsy (one of my favorite places to shop) to start my search for the perfect game day outfit for her.

My memory may be a little fuzzy, but I believe I did a generic search for something along the lines of “royal blue pillow case dress” – and boy did the luck run in my favor with that search! I just so happened to stumbled upon this fabulous little pillowcase dress from Lily B Creations and I knew I just had to have it! It was priced at only $12 with a single letter monogram, so I was instantly sold! I communicated several time with the shop owner about the specifications of the dress, and I sent her a few measurements that she needed.

After an initial slight fit issue (which was really hard to judge…all babies aren’t made the same!), Becky (the shop owner) immediately crafted a brand new dress and rush shipped it to us in record time. It arrived 2 days before our big homecoming celebration, and it fit like an absolute glove!

Becky certainly didn’t have to correct the fit issue, but she was so gracious and wanted to make sure my daughter would have the perfect game day dress. Little miss priss was the cutest little baby around! (Except for her adorably  sweet little friend Asher, pictured above.) They played so sweetly together, and even paused for a few seconds to let us take their picture! 😉

If you’re looking for a custom game day dress for your little one, I highly recommend Lily B Creations. If you’re looking for something specific, send Becky a message and she’ll be happy to work with you! We are in love with our game day dress, and will be ordering again in the future!

I’m Caught Up in a BOWmance! Bargain Bows Review

September 26, 2016 by Laura Tucker Leave a Comment

I have not been compensated in any way to craft this review. I’m just sharing a product that I really love, and I think you’ll love it, too! All opinions expressed are 100% my own!

Bargain Bows Review

So recently while I was browsing through my newsfeed on Facebook, I saw an advertisement for hair bows that a friend of mine shared. The actual post was for some sort of giveaway (you can visit their Facebook page here if you want to get in on that,) but my attention was focused on what the advertisement was saying.

“30 Hair Bows for $30” was popping up all over the place on the ad, and I was so intrigued that I just had to investigate a little further.

Watch the video below to hear my initial thoughts of the company, plus how they won me and will forever be my #1 source for hair bows for my daughter!

Summer Must Have: Monogrammed Seersucker Ruffle Swimsuit

June 14, 2016 by Laura Tucker 2 Comments

This time last year, we were cooped up in our house and staying out of the heat and the sun. I was joyfully recovering from a caesarean section and Miss T was no bigger than a minute – far too little to be introduced to the Alabama weather.

While we were enjoying the cool air conditioner inside, deep down I was craving to be in the water. I had just spent the last 9 months being pregnant, so the thought of feeling weightless in the water was sounding AWESOME! I also caught myself daydreaming about my little girl toddling around the water and catching her facial expression when she took her first dip in the big pool at her cousin’s house.

Flash forward a year later, and my little mermaid is ready to splash!

Celebrating the Sweetest Spring Fashions for Kids from The Lucky Lily

March 21, 2016 by Laura Tucker 17 Comments

I received these products at no cost to facilitate my review. However, all thoughts and opinions expressed are completely my own.

Spring has definitely sprung in my neck of the woods! The weather here in south Alabama has been gorgeous the past 2 or so weeks, and I’ve finally broken out all of my warmer-weather attire. Hello, flip-flops!

I’ve been itching SO badly to start dressing my baby in floral prints and rompers. My sweet little love hates wearing pants (she gets that honestly), so I have been downright giddy packing those away and pulling out her spring and summer wardrobe.

I only have room in her closet for the cutest of the cute (naturally), so I made sure I saved a very special spot in her wardrobe for two brand new releases from the fabulous children’s boutique – The Lucky Lily!

The Lucky Lily has some of the CUTEST little outfits for both girls and boys! + Enter to WIN a $20 shopping spree on Southern Made Simple! US Ends 4/4

Pediped Review

March 14, 2016 by Laura Tucker 28 Comments

I received these products at no cost to facilitate my review. However, all thoughts and opinions expressed are completely my own.

At 10 months old, my daughter is starting to stand and balance herself for short stretches of time. I know it won’t be long before she’s ready to take that very first step! I’m emotionally not ready for her to be walking yet, but I knew I needed to make sure she has proper shoes ready for when that day comes. I decided to do a little research on proper shoes for early walkers that aided in healthy foot development. When babies start walking, it’s so important that their feet are lined up properly to ultimately help promote proper stride.

That’s where Pediped shoes come in to play. In my opinion, Pediped is at the front of the pack when it comes to creating quality, foot healthy and on-trend shoes for children. In fact, Pediped has been awarded the American Podiatric Medical Association Seal of Acceptance for promoting healthy foot development, not to mention numerous other awards such as a Cribsie award for “cutest little kicks,” and features in several magazines such as Parents and Babytalk.

Our Hair Bow Game is Strong Thanks To Lulu and Mila!

March 10, 2016 by Laura Tucker 19 Comments

I received these products at no cost to facilitate this Lulu and Mila review. However, all thoughts and opinions expressed are completely my own.

Lulu and Mila review

If you know me at all, you know this one thing: I like BIG bows (and I cannot lie). My daughter had her first hair bow on her head within the first hour after being born. It wasn’t a rinky-dinky little hair bow either, y’all. It was large and in charge, no doubt about it.

I see hair bows as crowns for little princesses. The bigger the better! And if it fits..why not wear it? I’ve seen this image floating around Facebook for a while now, and every time I see it I crack up. #truth

All hair bows are not created equally. We all know that they come in all sorts of sizes and colors, and with different styles of clips, embellishments, etc. Within the past year or so, I noticed a new trend in hair bows for little girls. Instead of having a traditional bow made from ribbon with a clip, more and more little girls are sporting these fabulous fabric head wraps and top knots that are so stinkin’ cute it hurts.

Children's head wraps and top knots are seriously the cutest! Lil Tot Shop has a fabulous selection at a very affordable price!…

This and That for Kids Spring 2016 Collection Review

February 8, 2016 by Laura Tucker 23 Comments

I received these products at no cost to facilitate my review. However, all thoughts and opinions expressed are completely my own.

Hip hip hooray! Spring is right around the corner! It may only be February, but I can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel with all of this “winter” coldness. Cold weather can be a real bummer sometimes, and who needs that kind of negativity in their life? Am I right?! This brings me to reason #5639 that I love living in south Alabama. We get snow basically never, and I’m fine with that! I love spring, though. Spring brings a promise of new life, and that’s one of the reasons I love it so much!

Ahh, spring time. The foliage starts turning green again, flowers begin to bloom, Easter candy hits the store shelves (‘sup, Cadbury eggs!) and pastels start creeping back out of our closets. It’s a glorious time, really.

This and That for Kids Spring Collection + $25 Gift Code Giveaway! Ends 2/22

I absolutely love pulling out all of our warmer-weather clothing. Now that I have a little girl to dress up, I’m having even more fun! When I’m looking for the cutest kids clothing for any season, I always turn to This and That for Kids. Remember that gorgeous hand smocked turkey bishop dress I featured this past Fall? This and That for Kids is where it’s at! Their clothing is seriously the cutest! Their Spring 2016 collection definitely does not disappoint, either. I’m going to have to put in a word with the Easter bunny this year to bring my baby some more of that smocked sweetness for sure!…

I received these products at no cost to facilitate my review. However, all thoughts and opinions expressed are completely my own.

Friends, I must tell you about this insanely adorable Etsy shop I stumbled upon recently! (And just in time for Valentine’s Day, too!) Enchanted by Ellie has the cutest selection of tees and everything glitter for infants, children and even moms! If the part where I mentioned “glitter” wasn’t enough to have you sold, maybe a peek at some of their apparel will. Hello, monogram cuteness! You are definitely calling my name!

Warning: Clicking on these pictures will probably cause you to fall in love and suffer from uncontrollable urges to purchase everything at once. Trust me.

Oh my goodness, I seriously want them all! I mean, not just for my daughter, either. I want to wear them myself! (The shop owner takes custom order requests, so if you mamas want your own glitter mermaid shirt, there’s certainly nothing stopping you, and I definitely would not judge because I’d rock one, too!) 😉
