I received a complimentaty subscription to Bookroo in exchange for my honest review. However, all opinion expressed here are completely my own. I only share what I truly love!
I’ve hit a gold mine, y’all. Seriously. I just scored major points with my busy-bee toddler and have found the perfect gift to share with her this Christmas season, and it doesn’t even have flashing lights or require batteries!
I’m sure you’re all familiar with the “subscription box” trend that’s grown tremendously in popularity over the last few years. I hope and pray that it’s a trend that stays around forever, because I think it’s absolutely genius.
I recently learned about this wonderful gem of a company called Bookroo that really stood out above all other subscription boxes I’ve seen. It’s one that caters to young children and deeply invests in encouraging and developing a love of reading in kids at an early age.
Bookroo is a children’s book subscription service that puts together a box full of literary goodness and delivers them right to your door every single month (for as long as you declare your subscription.) You can select whether you’d like board books (ages 0-2) or picture books (ages 2-6), and each book is individually wrapped to create a fun and special moment when the child opens the box.
I selected a board book subscription for my 18 month old daughter who absolutely adores books and story time. When we opened up our first Bookroo box earlier this week, her eyes filled with excitement and wonder. Let me tell you, friends. That moment alone makes this subscription box worth every single penny!
Picking a subscription plan is crazy simple, and the pricing is certainly more than reasonable. Subscription rates start as low as $15.99, and each box contains books that are creatively unique and not easily found in stores (so the chance of you already owning the book are pretty slim!) As someone who lives in a very rural part of the country, this is something that I really appreciate. Driving “to town” to the nearest book store means I’m driving in a car for 45 minutes one way with a toddler who hates being strapped into her car seat for more than .3 seconds. No, thanks! 😉
Another awesome perk is that all books included in the boxes are thoroughly reviewed and approved by a panel of 12 families (with their combined 22 kids,) so I know these books are truly something special! Spending time sifting through online reviews of books I think my kid will like and taking a chance on them is not something I’m really keen on doing. Thankfully, Bookroo had parents just like me in mind when they started their amazing company!
The November board book box was our very first box we received from Bookroo, and it FAR exceeded my expectations. Y’all, these books are gorgeous! I could tell that the book pairing was very thoughtfully planned out and seasonally appropriate. The titles we received were, “You Are My Little Pumpkin Pie” by Amy Sklansky, “Seeking a Santa” by Angela Diterlizzi, and “Animal Numbers” by Thomas Flintham. They’re perfectly age appropriate for my daughter, and I can really tell that she’ll still enjoy the simple story lines and beautiful art work for years to come!
Give the Gift of Bookroo this Holiday Season:
If you’ve got a special kiddo on your shopping list this holiday season, skip over the gidgets and gadgets and give them the gift of fun and exciting books! One of my favorite things to do with my daughter is to snuggle up with her and enjoy some quality story time. Watching the little wheels turn in her head and seeing her face light up with every page we turn is one of the best gifts I could ask for! If you’d like to get started, I’ve got an ah-mazing coupon code to share with you! Use coupon code LAURTUCK at checkout to score $10 off of your first order! Sweet! 😀
Do your little ones love to pick out new books to fall in love with? Do they love receiving special and exciting things in the mail like mine does? If so, consider giving Bookroo a try! I cannot brag on the company enough, and I’m certain you’ll love it, too!
