I received a complimentary diaper in exchange for my honest review. All opinions expressed within this post are completely my own. I only promote what I truly love!
It’s always a great day when you discover a total gem tucked away in a little downtown boutique near your hometown. That’s exactly what I found when I walked into Ah Dee Eh Dee’s children’s boutique located in a cute corner store in the heart of Prattville, AL.
This store is different, though. It’s special. It’s completely unique. It’s filled with wonderful, glorious things that make my heart pitter-patter, and there are treasures inside that the world needs to know about!
When I walked into that store on a Friday afternoon, my heart completely overflowed when I saw that beautiful wall full of the most gorgeous handmade modern cloth diapers. (It was so pretty I had to get my picture in front of it!) 😉
Robin, the owner of Ah Dee Eh Dee, handcrafts all of the diapers in the store (made in the USA, y’all!), as well as all of the sweet little tops and bottoms for little children. This woman has a passion for modern cloth diapering that is absolutely contagious, and she puts her heart and soul into creating quality and adorable diapers that will absolutely change the way you think about diapering your littles!
There’s a whole new world out there dedicated to cloth diapering, and sometimes the Internet can be an overwhelming and confusing place when it comes to learning about how and where to start. One thing you’ll learn very quickly when you begin shopping for modern cloth diapers is that the prices vary drastically. I’ve seen diapers listed as cheap as $3-$5, and I’ve seen them as high as $40+. There’s a lot of variables that go into making quality cloth diapers, and there are a few things you should consider before you decide to buy.
Sure, it may be cheap and easy to buy those “China cheapies” as the cloth diapering community calls them, but it’s important to consider where exactly your money is going when you buy them. Shopping small and shopping local are two practices that go hand-in-hand with cloth diapering your baby.
When you shop from small business that make their products in the USA, your money stays IN the USA, fueling and sustaining our economy. Not to mention you’re making a huge difference in the livelihood of the person you bought from. Ah Dee Eh Dee makes some of the most beautiful handmade diapers I’ve ever seen, and I can really tell that each one has been stitched with love and care. That’s something that really sets this company apart from other cloth diapering brands in my opinion.
We had such a good time visiting the store and loving on all of the beautiful treasures inside. Miss T found this gorgeous feather print OS pocket diaper that she insisted on carrying around with her. She has great taste, don’t cha think? 😉
I also spied some ah-mazing maxaloones and miniloones that were available to purchase, plus some super cute handmade bandanna bibs on display. I’m telling y’all, walking into this store is like walking into a tiny piece of Heaven!
Thanks to Robin, I walked out of the store with one of their gorgeous OS pocket diapers to try out. One of the first things I noticed before trying out was that the insert was made from a natural fiber blend. Each insert is made from three layers of bamboo, hemp and organic cotton – all of which are known to be super absorbent and high quality.
The cut and fit of the diaper is super trim – possibly the most trim out of all of the diapers that I own. That’s something that I really appreciate, because they fit so much better under pants (which are kind of required now that December is here.) 😉
The diapers have adjustable rise settings, hip snaps, and the inner fabric is made from a micro-suede-like blend that wicks moisture away from the bum. I found this particular one to have a nice amount of fabric to stretch across the hip bones. The diaper fit very securely and the absorbency of the insert has been a dream. We have only used this diaper during the daytime, but I believe it would be a great overnight option if paired with an additional insert.
This diaper has quickly become one of our favorites in our entire stash. It’s one of the first ones that I grab because I know I won’t have to worry about leaks and bulk, not to mention it’s probably the most beautiful print I’ve ever seen!
If you’re looking to get started with cloth diapering, or if you’ve already joined the cloth side and are looking for a brand new beauty to add to your stash, make sure you check out Ah Dee Eh Dee online or in store! They’re high quality, affordable, stunningly beautiful and made right here in the USA!
Make sure you also follow them on Instagram and Facebook to stay up-to-date with the latest print releases and sales!

I love this. She and I must shop at the same place for PUL. I sew diapers too, and a few of those patterns she has I wanted but they were out. What a fun store!
